Laundry Room Cleaning Checklist

Laundry room

 

Ø  Always start on the top and work your way down.

Ø  Always start on the left and work toward the right.

Ø  Always work in the direction of the grain or in a circular motion.

 

£  Remove the clutter, putting things were they belong.

£  Gather trash and toss it.

£  Sort and wash all laundry that has piled up.

£  Sweep the ceiling corners and polish light fixtures.

£  Clean fans and air vents.

£  Wipe down the walls, widows, art, switch plates, door jams, doors and moldings.

£  Sanitize the washer by running white vinegar and hot water through an empty cycle.

£  Vacuum out the dryer and dryer vent.

£  Dust out the dryer hose.

£  Wipe down the dryer walls.

£  Clean the lint trap.

£  Organize all soaps and cleaners.

£  Organize and dust utility closet.

£  Change filter in furnace.

£  Clean the litter box and put in fresh litter.

£  Clean the pet bowls and replenish food and water.

£  Dust shelves, counter tops, nick-knacks and appliances.

£  Clean the iron and sewing machine.

£  Clean laundry bins and sanitize wastebasket.

£  Wash out the sink, shine the faucets and unclog the drain.

£  Sweep the floor and behind appliances.

£  Vacuum any throw rugs and the backs of washer and dryer.

£  Mop the floor and scrub the grout.
