Outdoors Cleaning Checklist





Outside areas

 

Ø  Always start on the top and work your way down.

Ø  Always start on the left and work toward the right.

Ø  Always work in the direction of the grain or in a circular motion.

 

£  Remove the clutter, putting things were they belong.

£  Gather trash and toss it.

£  Sweep awnings. Polish light fixtures.

£  Clean gutters and downspouts.

£  Pressure-wash siding and cement areas.

£  Sweep and hose down decking and patios.

£  Wipe down yard furniture. Sanitize door knobs.

£  Trim trees and overgrown bushes.

£  Mown lawn and weed garden.

£  Rake yard and clear animal waste.

£  Remove leaves and weeds from rocks around the house.

£  Clean out window wells.

£  Fertilize the lawn.

£  Wash outside of widows and clean screens.

£  Inspect roof, chimney and foundation. Make needed repairs.

£  Insect all cement and decking. Make repairs as needed and seal wood.

£  Inspect and repair sprinkler system and hoses.

£  Seal around house opening with bug repellant.

£  Repair and clean weather stripping around doors and windows.

£  Clean air conditioners.

£  Clean and organize the shed/out-buildings. Dust and wipe down as needed.

£  Do any needed touch-up paint jobs.

£  Seal fencing and repair any damage.
