Saving Money - Couponing

How to - Get Coupons:
1. Sign up to receive the Sunday Paper. Check with your local newspaper office to see if they offer a free delivery of the ads and coupons for your local area. If you live in Colorado you can receive free coupon deliver here
2. Print coupons for free off the Internet. Most websites, you will need to download a coupon printer program to your computer. My favorite site that I have found so far is Coupons.com.
3. Download a free coupon app. Search you App Store for apps that will let you print coupons straight from you smart device. Coupons.com has a free app that I just started using and I love it.
4. Follow a couponing site of Facebook so you can get notified of good deals in your local area. Google "coupon mom", "coupon lady", etc. with your town or state name to find a relevant one. By finding a site that focuses on you local area, your store's sale ads and your coupons will already be matched up and all the hard work will be done for you.

How to - Coupon:
Once you start receiving coupons you need to clip and organize them. There are many ways to organize your coupons but the way I like to do it is by using paper clips and snack size baggies. You will also need post-it notes and a pen. You will have 8 baggies each with a main category and each category will have subcategories. Paper clip each subcategory together so that the coupon you are looking for is easier to find. List the category name, followed by the subcategories on your post-it, on the sticky side. Stick the note to the inside of the baggie so you can see your writing. Once your coupons are paper clipped together based on the subcategories, slip them into the baggie in the order you wrote them on your post-it. Get a cute cosmetic bag to place all your baggies in and put in your purse so that you have them at the ready when you need them! Happy couponing!
